All About Acupuncture 2u - Dumfries
Acupuncture 2u is an acupuncture clinic run by Jamie Logan, Chartered Physiotherapist.
Jamie qualified in 1996 with a BSc(Hons) in Physiotherapy from Queen Margaret University, Edinburgh.
He moved to Dumfries in 1996 and started his career in Physiotherapy in Dumfries Infirmary and now works within the speciality of Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy at Thornhill Health Centre, Sanquhar Health Centre and Moffat Hospital within the NHS. He has gained futher qualifications including a Diploma in Orthopaedic Medicine and Diploma in Injection Therapy and gained experience in acupuncture techniques in both Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) and Western Medicine.
Seeing the effectiveness of acupuncture gave Jamie the motivation to open his own private clinic which is run within a room used exclusively for this service within his home.
In November 2015, clinics also started at Synergy Holistic and Beauty , 7 Church Crescent, Dumfries.
January 2017 - The introduction of Facial Enhance Acupuncture - Dumfries, an exciting venture using points on the face to stimulate muscles and inserting intradermal needles to stimulate collagen to smooth out lines. An alternative to cosmetic surgery, Botox and fillers and a holistic treatment that leaves the client relaxed and revived.
September 2017 - The introduction of microneedling to the expanding portfolio. A cosmetic treatment using state of the art needling devices to rejuvenate the face.
April 2018 sees the addition of clinics to serve the west of Dumfries and Galloway more conveniently at Blackburn's Hair and Beauty at 140/142 King Street, Castle Douglas.
October 2018 sees a move from Synergy to Majenta Health and Beauty, 33 Buccleuch Street, Dumfries
- Clinics are held on Wednesday evenings from 5.00 pm to 9.00 pm at Oakfield Drive clinic
- From October 4th 2018, every 2nd Thursday evening clinics are held at Majenta Health and Beauty from 5.30pm to 8.00pm
- Saturday clinics also available at Majenta from 11am to 2pm and at Blackburn's Hair and Beauty, Castle Douglas (ask re availability)
Evening clinics allow for more flexibility after normal working hours.
Acupuncture has a sedative effect and can assist in helping wind down after work and promote a healthier sleep pattern.
